The title may be one of the topics provided in theTerm Paper guide, or you may propose your own. From inspection one can see thatthe title is in the form of a question that clearly indicates the subject beingtreated. This question must be a debatable one, in that it presents a debate orcontroversy within the topic and asks a question that could satisfactorily beargued on either side. No one has ever received an improved grade by having anexceptionally witty title, so do not attempt to create an original one.
Large, longitudinally partitioned vat used to mix and mechanically work pulp with other ingredients to make paper.
Lightweight, unquoted paper made from unbleached chemical and/or mechanical pulps and surfaces coated with a carbon solvent or wax so that it takes up carbon inks and releases them under pressure, duplicating the inked areas being printed.
We also quantify the social influence in terms of changes in purchase probability and revenues. Our results show that middle-status users show, on average, a 5% increase in revenue due to social influence. In contrast, the high status group’s revenue declines by almost 14% due to these social effects.

Just by considering the section headings in the above examples, we can begin to see the fundamental structures and directions of the essays, because both sets of headings break the paper topic into its natural parts and suggest some sort of a movement forward through a topic. Note how these headings—as all section headings should—tell us the story of the paper and are worded just as carefully as any title should be.
Imagine you wish to describe a controversy surrounding a particular topicwithin some field of computers, and their effects on society, to a person whohas no preliminary knowledge of what you wish to discuss. In addition, you aretrying to convince this person that your view is the correct one by logicallyarguing for your side and then presenting and refuting the arguments for theother side. This is the way in which the term paper for this course is to bewritten. Your paper should be designed such that it:
Three questions are important when you are making paper on this topic– do friends influence purchases of users in an online social network; which users are more influenced by this social pressure; and can we quantify this social influence in terms of increase in sales and revenue.
Here is where you must present some sort of hint asto the direction of your paper, how you will go about proving your thesis, andpossibly (though not necessarily) an idea of which side of the conflagrationthe author will be advocating. The actual topic being discussed, as well as anexplanation of the debate being addressed and its importance, should bepresented. In addition, a general description of the arguments for one side -and then the other - should be cited to show that the paper is indeedaddressing a real-life, debatable, non-trivial social concern. One or twoexamples of actual cases that have occurred in the real world (either for oragainst the thesis) can also be presented.
Of course, papers should always be typed, double-spaced on 8-1/2 x 11 paper on one side of the page only, and letter-quality print or better is always expected. Often you are expected to supply a cover sheet giving the date, your name, the title of the paper, the class, and the professor’s name. Tables and figures should be numbered consecutively throughout the text, and if there are a good number of them, then separate lists of tables and figures at the beginning of the paper may be expected. Tables and figures should always have descriptive captions, and if they come directly from sources, the sources must be specifically credited in the captions with the same citation style that you use throughout the paper.
An inability to compose an introduction thatpresents all the material above may indicate that you have failed to address atopic in a way necessary to produce an acceptable paper. In general, this maylead to an obscure, unstructured, and confused term paper that does not makeany clear argument and fails to reach a logical conclusion based on relevantevidence. This in turn would result in a less than satisfactory evaluation ofthe term paper.
It is this section that will comprise the bulk ofthe term paper. Here is where you would present the actual research andanalysis you have performed. You must clearly present all sides of the issuebeing discussed, and convincingly evaluate and argue each side, offering bothevidence and examples of your claims. This section should at a minimum includethe following:
A coating that is applied onto the non-printing side of paper to add to the opacity or stability of the paper.
As a side note, how convincing your overallargument is can be significantly affected by the paper's quality of grammar andspelling. Poor spelling, incorrect usage of words, and awkward sentences arenot only comical, but suggest incompetence and incorrectness of thought, bothof which lead to disbelief in an argument on the part of the reader. Try toensure that you are saying what you want to say in a paper, and that any readercan easily understand your argument. The use of ten-dollar words can be a detrimentwhen used incorrectly.
